Lower School Summer Learning

Lower School Summer Learning

Our students at NCCS engage in meaningful summer assignments and learning opportunities meant to challenge their minds, cultivate their hearts and prepare them for the year ahead.

Lower School Summer Opportunities

SUMMER READING

Students will earn a special reward by participating in our Summer Reading 2019 Checklist Challenge! This checklist is designed to make reading FUN by encouraging reading fun items (read a menu!), in fun places (read under a table!) with fun friends (read to a stuffed animal!). Bring it back this fall for a prize!

POSTCARD PAPARAZZI

NCCS, Mrs. Titus, 4500 Eagle Drive, Kennesaw, GA 30144

Will you help us fill up a bulletin board with your fun summer trips and outings? Please send LS Principal Wendy Titus a postcard from your summer vacation, summer camp or staycation. She is going to miss you all so much and really wants to know what you’re up to — whether you are across town or across the world! Click here for instructions for our Lower School Postcard Paparazzi!

SPEECH, LANGUAGE, AND HEARING SCREENINGS in June 2019

Do you have questions or concerns about your child’s communication skills? If so, we can help! North Cobb Christian School will be offering speech, language, and hearing screenings, evaluations, and services this year in partnership with Andrea Davis, M.Ed, CCC-SLP, Owner of Speech-Life, LLC. Would you like to get a jump-start on learning more about your child’s communication skills this summer? Click here for more information about speech-language-hearing screenings and to request a June screening.

LOWER SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST

Want to enjoy your summer vacation instead of knowing you have to come back and shop for school supplies? Let our PTF be your personal shopper for the upcoming school year! Order your child’s school supplies through the Personal Shopper HERE by July 12, and they will be waiting on your child’s desk during Meet the Teacher in August!

LOWER SCHOOL DRESS CODE

Please take time to review the Lower School dress code. We encourage you to pay close attention to the accessories section. Thank you!

All K3 – 4th grade new and returning students are invited to our annual Popsicles in the Park on Monday, July 15, from 7 – 8 p.m. Pack a picnic and bring the whole family to Cauble Park (4425 Beach Street – Pavillion #3 Acworth, GA 30101) for a lot of fun and fellowship … and popsicles provided by PTF, of course!

TOGETHER... CULTIVATING HEARTS. CHALLENGING MINDS. IMPACTING CULTURE.

We are always struck by the authenticity of the faculty, staff, families and students at NCCS. It's more than a school. It's a family.

After coming to NCCS, I felt myself become a different kid. I was able to stay more focused in the classroom because everyone here wants the best for you.
-- NCCS Student

Our children aren't just taught -- they're loved. NCCS teachers pour themselves into the students, molding who they become.

At NCCS, we focus on glorifying God on and off the field. Becoming an athlete at North Cobb Christian changed who I am as an athlete and as a believer.
-- NCCS Student

The Arts at NCCS lets me tap into gifts I never knew I had. I've found joy, purpose, and lifelong friends who share my passions.
-- NCCS Student

I found the best spiritual leaders at NCCS. The teachers and staff ensure that our spiritual education is just as important as our academic success.
-- NCCS Alumni

I am forever grateful to NCCS for making me the person I am today. I want to give back to provide the same opportunities for future generations.
-- NCCS Alumni

It's hard to explain, but the minute we walked in the doors, it felt like home. Our whole family has thrived within this precious school's tight-knit community.
