TUITION + FINANCIAL AID
As a parent, you have the amazing responsibility of raising your children — training them up in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6). And while there is ample grace for the journey (thank goodness!), you are only given one journey – one chance, one shot, one relatively brief season with your children under your roof.
Speaking of “your roof,” your child spends approximately 1,000 hours each year at school, under the roof of a building filled with people who are not you, influences that are beyond your control. However, what is within your control is choosing a school whose influence aligns with your family’s deepest convictions.
At North Cobb Christian School, we carefully select our textbooks and pour over curriculum decisions. But, we’ll let you in on a little secret. At the end of the day, it’s not the textbooks your children will most remember. It’s our teachers and coaches, our faculty and staff, who become godly mentors, confidants, disciplers and advisers. We call them the “hidden curriculum” – the amazing individuals intentionally surrounding our students, SPEAKING LIFE, and conveying CRUCIAL messages about core identity, spiritual formation, and biblical worldview – day in and day out, 24/7.
Every school has a hidden curriculum students are absorbing. At North Cobb Christian School, we strive for ours to look a lot like Jesus. And that is the investment of a lifetime.
Application + Registration Fees
In an effort to keep tuition and overhead costs as low as possible for our families, NCCS elects not to roll application and registration fees into the cost of tuition for all students, but rather only to charge fees when they pertain to a particular student need or circumstance. Thus, a non-refundable, non-transferable fee of $100 per student is due at the time of application. Likewise, a non-refundable, non-transferable registration fee is due at the time of registration to secure a spot for your child. The registration fee is also due annually upon re-enrollment. However, the 10-pay plan skips January, when re-enrollment occurs, so that families are not charged for tuition and re-enrollment during the same month.
Textbooks + Technology
While course materials are provided for all students in preschool, Lower School, and 5th and 6th grades, students in grades 7th through 12th are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks and digital resources, as required for their courses. All technology resources are completely covered by tuition, however, including access to Chromebooks, labs, laptop carts, and the One To One Technology Initiative in Middle School.
For your convenience, FACTS Tuition Management is used for processing all tuition payments and school-related fees. All transcations are made directly through your individual FACTS account, which processes payments via your bank account or credit card. Once enrolled, new families receive an email detailing how to set up their account. Please contact Judy Oshust in the business office if you ever need assistance.
It is our sincere desire to make an academically excellent, authentic Christian education accessible to as many families as possible, training up students who will impact our world for Christ. While investing in an independent Christian education for your child is a decision you will never regret, we also acknowledge and understand the financial sacrifice this entails for many families.
We offer financial aid to families who are able to contribute a substantial amount towards tuition but are unable to afford the full cost. As a member of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA), NCCS does not award scholarships but offers need-based financial aid. Financial-aid awards are available to qualifying families with students in K5 through 12th grade on a year-by-year basis. A specified amount of aid is set aside each year depending on enrollment, funding, and budget requirements, as detailed by our full Financial Aid Policy. All awards are kept completely confidential.
APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID
Step One: Begin the process
Before receiving a financial aid award, you must begin the admissions process. Our admissions team provides financial counsel to families on an individual basis, sharing opportunities and strategies that have made a NCCS education a reality for many, many students. It is our sincere hope that our school family might become the home for your family, and we are committed to helping you navigate the financial commitment. We encourage families to submit their admissions application and financial aid application simultaneously. While financial aid awards are only given after a student has been accepted and registered, the third-party financial aid process can take several weeks.
Step Two: Register your student
Once your student is accepted, they will then register. Students must be registered prior to applying for financial aid. However, if a family applies for aid and the award is still not sufficient to make tuition financially viable, the registration fee will be fully refunded.
Step Three: Apply for aid via FACTS
Applications should be submitted online to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment. Follow the steps provided by FACTS, which is an independent, third-party company that conducts a secure financial analysis to determine a family’s financial need. All financial aid applications and awards are completely confidental.
Flipside After School Program
NCCS offers a fun and engaging after school program called Flipside for K3 through 6th grade students, from 2:40 – 6:30 p.m. Flipside is $13.00 per day per child, regardless of how long the student is in attendance that day. Lower School students can also choose to attend fun theme-based after school activities called Sidekicks, which allow students to engage in the arts, STEAM activities, sports, games and more! Full details about Flipside and Sidekicks can be found here.
