In today's world of college admissions so many factors are considered, such as a student’s GPA, co-curricular activities, community service, awards and achievements, propensity for leadership, portfolio of unique and innovative experiences, number of honors and AP courses, recommendation letters, etc. In addition to these many factors, a student’s performance on the ACT and/or SAT test is still an important variable in the college admissions equation. With that in mind, it is exciting to report that the 2016 SAT and ACT scores for our North Cobb Christian School students had very positive results. As you can see from the tables below, the 2016 NCCS SAT scores are up 51 points from a year ago while the nation is - 4, Georgia is +8 and Cobb County is +4. On the ACT, NCCS was up 1.3 points while the nation was -.2, the state was +.1 and Cobb County +.1. Congratulations to our students, as well as the teachers that impact these types of improvements. Also, a big thank you to NCCS College Counselor Karen Bollinger for the tireless efforts that she pours into our college counseling process at NCCS!
